COOS BAY — Oregon Care Partners is offering a free course designed for caregivers, including those in the health care profession, as well as family members helping to coordinate or provide in-home care for a loved one.
The program will be 10:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday, April 20, at the Red LionHotel, 1313 N. Bayshore Dr., in Coos Bay.
Learn to create apositive environment for those with dementia, what to expect as their condition progresses, and how to maintain a sense of balance in your life.
The course is designed for long-term care workers — including adult foster homes, assisted living and in-home settings. The course reviews common challenging behaviors seen in adult populations and offers methods to appropriately intervene.
