2025 Teepa Snow Dementia Care Conference
A free educational and skills-building event for Oregon dementia care partners.
Teepa Snow, Founder of Positive Approach to Care® and the Snow Approach Foundation®, will lead this free dementia care training event for families and care professionals presented by Oregon Care Partners. The conference is free to register and open to anyone living or working in Oregon. Individual registration is required.

SESSION TOPIC
A Journey Through Dementia
Experience an immersive journey through dementia with Teepa Snow. This presentation will use video clips from a play performed by Teepa and her team, interspersed with live discussion and demonstrations with Teepa herself. The play follows one individual through the different GEMS® States of Brain Change, showing each scenario both with and without Teepa’s Snow Approach™ skills. Through the play’s video clips and Teepa’s live presentation, you will witness the direct effect that these skills and techniques have on improving interactions with individuals living with dementia.
Learning Objectives:
- Describe common challenges encountered in dementia care
- Discuss the different brain states and characteristics during the progression of dementia
- Demonstrate several verbal and nonverbal techniques that can be used to improve interactions and outcomes when supporting someone living with dementia

Teepa Snow, MS, OTR/L, FAOTA
Teepa Snow is one of the world’s leading advocates and educators for anyone living with dementia or other forms of brain change.
Teepa is an Occupational Therapist with over forty years of rich and varied clinical and academic experience. Her philosophy is reflective of her education, work experience, medical research, and first-hand caregiving experiences. Her advocacy efforts led her to develop the Positive Approach to Care® strategies, which are effective techniques for anyone seeking to optimize care and support for those living with brain change.
Teepa presents with extraordinary expertise and humor to audiences large and small throughout the world. Teepa’s mission is to improve the culture of dementia care, one mind at a time.
