COOS BAY — Oregon Care Partners is offering a free course designed for caregivers, including those in the health care profession, as well as family members helping to coordinate or provide in-home care for a loved one.
The program will be 10:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday, April 20, at the Red LionHotel, 1313 N. Bayshore Dr., in Coos Bay.
Learn to create a positive environment for those with dementia, what to expect as their condition progresses, and how to maintain a sense of balance in your life.
The course is designed for long-term care workers — including adult foster homes, assisted living and in-home settings. The course reviews common challenging behaviors seen in adult populations and offers methods to appropriately intervene.
